Someswara Swami Temple and Mavullamma temple

Located in the vicinity of the Bhimavaram town. Someswara swami temple is one of the five great Pancharama Kshetras. There is a speciality in this temple i.e. Shivaling will change its color according to Lunar aspect. At the time of Pournami (Full Moon nights) shivaling will be in white color and in Amavasya days (Dark nights) its color shades black. It is believed that Sri Mavullamma Ammavaru (Universal Mother Goddess) is the incarnation of Mahakali (the goddess of Shakti).
